Title: Who can you trust? Now TheUsualSuspect(99) wants FE on order "in transit"
Post by: uniwiz on April 15, 2012, 10:15 pm
WTF?

I'm sorry guys but a vendor changes hands, lists things he can't sell.
Nice long listing........
Asking for FE, even though home page, claims he won't.

I understand his issue, cash flow.
My issue misrepresentation.

I lost enough to good vendors, gone bad, via FE.

TheUsualSuspect(99), do you trust him enough to go FE?

I don't trust anyone who tries to change the rules after the game has started.

I'd trust him, he has always sent my product when I FE for a discount.  He is a good dood.

I just placed an order with him a few hours ago.  It's already been changed to "In Transit" despite it being Sunday.  He hasn't asked me to FE, and I hope he doesn't, because I won't.  One of the reasons I went with him is because I am still new to SR and after being scammed out of my Bitcoins on my first transaction because of FE with a "reputable" seller, decided Escrow is there for a reason and I won't go out of it for anybody.  Hope he comes through.

Really?
He changed hands on 4/13/2012 and he is pulling this?
A vendor for 8 months?
Sounds like he sold the account.

He knows he doesn't have enough funds to send you a product he has posted?
Yet he immediately marks "in transit", and post another of the same "what he can't afford back on the listing"?
Only 1 at a time.
Is there a problem with me thinking this is sketchy vendor behavior?

He is pissed at me? For what? Expecting him to make good?
DON"T POST WHAT YOU CAN"T SELL!!!!

Does it smell like a duck?

I lost 7 bit coins for a transaction canceled by buyer not even 24 hours old, marked in transit"
I like how the powers that be profit from this unethical bullshit.

-$35 and go pound sand message.
Not bad. Shouldn't be listing what you can't sell.
Shouldn't be marking "in transit" when you clearly haven't.
Are these trademarks of TUS?

This is exactly how people get entrapped by FE deals.
Here the vendor clearly is being disingenuous, and could care less.
He still posting a QP that he wants FE without stating such costing buyers funds.
I want my $35 back too.
Take down the listing, and correct your home page.
Don't tell me, who am I to tell you how to run your business?
Hopefully I have save a few from getting ripped, or wasting escrow fees.

I didn't post I never request FE on my home page, he did!

Need I tell you about about all the great vendors running off with FE money?

That sucks, uni.

TUS hasn't been the same since he came down with whatever health issues he's going through.

I used him once at the beginning of the year and the transaction was flawless.

Personally, I'd stay away until things have steadied a bit.

Hopefully he'll return to the TUS of old.

I placed an order with TUS earlier today, based on a couple of previous transactions with him that went perfectly.  The current order is still "processing" and I haven't (yet) received a request to finalize early.  I'll let you all know what happens.

I've had one perfect transaction with TUS.

Seems like he is getting swallowed to the darkside....=/

Hopefully not!  He was extremely professional when I dealt with him!

Me too after a re-read. TUS is acting weird after the change in management.

When a vendor account changes hands, all credibility gets reset to zero...and TUS, while having been solid in the past, was rapidly losing credibility anyway due to their illness and associated problems.

I wish the original TUS the best. Hopefully the new owner of the account turns out to be legit, but I would exercise caution and as I said, treat them like a brand new vendor.

Besides, in the past month, we've had a nice influx of cannabis vendors. It got pretty difficult there for a bit, where if you wanted a quality ounce for a reasonable price, you had maybe 3 vendors to choose from. But people have stepped in to fill that void.

This.  TUS pulled some weird shit on me as well.  It didn't turn me off to his service but if his replacement behaves this way, I don't want to deal with it.

IMO, shipped means SHIPPED.  Either it is in the mail or it isn't

I'm waiting on TUS to respond(to even read)my pm asking for a DCN.  My order was marked "in transit" on Sunday, and it's priority mail, so I'm expecting something in the next day or two.  If his replacement can't live up to the standards they had previously, TUS should just say so.  Expectations are assumed by the promises made or experiences had.

Friendlyoutlaw,
Can't thank you enough for your support, and getting me out of a major mistake (whew)

Thanks Nomad, Something just didn't feel right, but loosing 7 BTC in 4 hours got me thinking about all the wrong things.
The rest of you, I wish the best.

We buyers should be protected from this kind of reselling of vendor accounts.
The guy maybe new, but he can read a PM.
Another bad sign.
PrettyinGreen keep us posted, hopefully he just a screw up, and comes through.

New to posting on the forums, just so i could post on this topic. TUS has always been a 100% trustworthy vendor which is why i finilezed on my order not thinking anything of it.

Now that i see this thread i am really starting to worry. Still no package today as expected and guaranteed by TUS. Also TUS has not been active in over 2 days on the SR.

Will update if a package arives, but i have a bad feeling TUS is gone for good. Looks like either TUS or a new owner of the account is cleaning out anythingh they can.

Unless this order comes through tomorrow, SAY AWAY!

My order is still "processing," more than 72 hours after I placed it.  I figured that the cancel button would be available by now, but it's not.  So my BTC remain stuck in limbo. :(

I'm sorry to hear that TUS's service has taken a turn for the worse. He's hooked me up nicely before and I was going to pick up some of the Oregon Grape he has listed. After reading this thread, I think I'll give PuffBuddy a whirl.

Yeah, I've received no package and no response from him since Sunday.  Unfortunately, my package was marked "in transit" just minutes after I placed it, so I don't even have the cancel option to get my bitcoins back.  Just have to wait until I can use the "resolve" option.  Boo.   :'(

You didn't FE?
Then wait.
Sucks cause it's 4/20

Not to rub it in, but right after he canceled me, and basically told me pound sand, and who am I to tell him how to run a business?
I ordered from Calitrees, and got a beautiful assortment of cannabis in 3 days.
Brutus, 3 days.......
Happysmoke420 3 days....

Seems vendors, like you either have it or not.

No, Uni,  I didn't FE, I learned my lesson with that after getting scammed by toyotaman on my very first order here!  And yes, it sucks that those coins are sitting in escrow with the big sale tomorrow.  Fortunately, I didn't spend them all in one place!  Lol.

I've had various vendors (I wont mention names in the spirit of fairness) request me to fe on various orders. On all orders I have replied to the message requesting fe, with something stating my buyer stats 25+ transactions and only 1 ever refund (5% refund rate), which happened on a recent order (hasn't put me off). So to sum up 24 successful transactions with 1 failure.....a pretty damn good record to me.....and to give them credit every vendor who asked for fe, upon receipt of said reply stated they were happy to ship without me fe!

Now i must also point out I was a returning customer with each vendor...if that was taken into account I cannot say. My point is have you asked USD if you are exempt from fe due to your buyer stats? Or as a returning buyer? If not then its all pretty damn well harsh IMO considering other vendors will honor good buyers and returning customers.

Im not too familiar with this vender personally but over the last few months i have learned that even the MOST trusted venders, im talking venders in the top 10% can turn scammer just as easy as someone who just started the only difference is they have your trust.  With the way shit has been lately with reliable venders turning scammer I wouldnt trust ANY vender FE especially the ones who ask for and/or change their rules.  IMO changing their rules may indicate they are looking to cash out with 1 last score.  Its not worth it to FE, i wish we could really trust ppl not to turn scammer but it happens time and time again.

The only time I ask anyone to FE is they have Zero purchases. If they have one or two that's good enough for me, unless it over $300 or so.
